A Lifelong Love of Music

Ryan Zin is a Santa Monica based composer, producer, engineer, and multi-instrumentalist whose musical abilities were evident at an early age. By the time he was 10 years old he was already adept at the Ukulele and drum kit, and had a burning passion for practicing guitar which quickly became his main instrument. During middle school he began playing in bands, and at his first recording sessions. He also started to pick up bass guitar, and build the confidence to compose his own music. In high school he became very involved with the music department, and eventually rose to the rank of Drum Major in his senior year. This natural leadership ability continued to serve him through college where he was the Executive Producer of the student record label, VOVE Entertainment, at Cal State University Northridge. In this role he was responsible for leading a team of 28 fellow students across 6 departments.

In addition to Ryan’s work with the student label, he also released 2 self-written and recorded studio albums titled Call to Action and Hindsight in 20/20 respectively. After these releases and while working with VOVE Entertainment, he discovered his aptitude producing other artists, which is something he has continued to do since.

Since graduating from Cal State Northridge, Ryan has also pursued his passion for teaching music to kids. In 2023 he and his life partner Melody Gonzalez founded their own music school, Sunset Park Music, which has the goal of expanding to offer music therapy services to children in need.
